We miss him and pray for his safe travels and quick return!
My husband is helping to set up a school in Haiti this week. Before he left, he went to REI and picked up some mosquito netting, a travel sheet, a wide-brim hat, and a couple of these high tech t-shirts. We miss him and pray for his safe travels and quick return!

With its edgy fringe combined with elegant embroidery, this dress appeals to both your demure and your wild side.
From Urban Outfitters 12 Days of Dresses. The start of the holiday season is already increasing traffic on the roads. But we do have another option: shopping online is like public transportation for goods, a greener option since then one delivery truck is out there instead of 500 cars. So how much should you pay for shipping costs?... NOTHING--both ways! Yeah, baby! These companies off FREE standard shipping and FREE returns both ways! --ASOS --Nordstrom --Piperlime --Zappos --Zara I love free shipping both ways because it lets me try new fashions and sizes without any risk. NOTHING--one way These companies offer FREE shipping all the time: --3 cheers for L.L. Bean who has committed to free shipping within the U.S. and Canada forever more for everything! --It has become the norm that shoes ship free. Shoes.com, Nine West, Aerosoles, etc. all offer this deal. --Banana Republic Luxe card provides free shipping for life from Banana Republic and their four affliates: GAP, Old Navy, Athleta, and Piperlime--worth getting the card (which has no yearly fee) for this savings alone. Who else? Please add to my list! Low shipping costs: --Boden and Long Tall Sally ship for a flat $10 from England--now that's pretty good! --ModCloth ships orders over $50 for free; orders under $50 are just $4. --Amazon is pretty inexpensive and always fast. Free shipping on orders over $50 Many companies offer this deal or a variation on it (free shipping over $75, over $100, over $300). It's not bad if you're already planning to spend more than $50, but so many stores price items just under $50 to keep you from ordering just one thing--or does it just look that way to me since I try never to spend over $50? :-). --Backcountry.com --Forever 21 --Urban Outfitters --Eddie Bauer High shipping costs: These companies offer shipping for about $10 and up, which I call expensive. Some of these stores regularly send out codes for free or reduced cost shipping, which helps. --Victoria's Secret (just ordered from VS--shipping costs about $9, but it's lightning fast (about 2 days), as are their returns) --Anthropologie --Garnet Hill --J. Crew --Madewell --Wrap London (flat $15 fee from England) --Kohl's --Sundance Catalog How much do you feel is too much to pay for shipping? Please let me know of any clothing stores that offer free or cheap shipping. Thanks! I love online shopping so much I devoted this page to it: 10 Reasons to Shop OnlineThis Tulle skirt is available from two stores: Piperlime and Modcloth. It's $37.99 at Piperlime. It's $57.99 at Modcloth.
I do realize that I'm wearing a heather gray sweater in every photo :-). I've muted the bright colors by adding a neutral layer because I'm a muted type of person. But you may be a person who could wear the bold colors outright.
I love these muted team tees from American Eagle Outfitters!
P.S. The team tees featured below were chosen for the beauty of their designs, not to promote any particular team! P.P.S. Except for the Broncos! :-) Have you ever re-purchased an item you’d returned?
It's rare that I buy anything that I'm not at least a little in love with--even if my love is sometimes misguided. So it's always a bit hard for me to part with anything, although I'm also cutthroat and do it every day. But sometimes I start to pine for the things I've let go. I’ve even gone back to the store to try to repurchase the exact same item I just returned before they send it back to the company or sell it to someone else. Yesterday I was thinking about two items that got away. One was a very reasonably priced Anthropologie cardigan/jacket. It was the most milky oatmeal color and made of a knit almost like a sweatshirt. Covered it layers and tucks and folds, it was both structured and free flowing—such a cool mix of casual and dressy. I returned it, but I’d like it back now please. The other item was a GAP skirt with a tiny floral print. Its base was light yellow. I returned it (Why???) and then later went back to the store to repurchase it—but it was gone. Oddly, like so many memories from the past, I can only remember the good things about these items, not the bad. Why did I let them go? What items have you returned that you want back? Question: Dear Fashion Feline: I am so psyched that I get to meet up with my girlfriends in Orlando and see the opening game of the Orlando Magic! One of my friend's boyfriends is a sports agent, and he says the whole trip is "on him"! But I have a terrible time with sexy casual...Help! And I'd love to go shopping but I have no money, EXCEPT for my Kohl's charge card. So, dear Fashionista, can I put together a sexy "game" outfit from Kohl's? Any suggestions for outfits?--Thanks so much! --Bri Answer: Dear Bri: So you’ll be just fine with Kohl’s. Vera Wang does a line for them with tons of cool stuff. I’d get these coated skinny jeans—coated jeans are hot right now—or any skinny jean you like. Then I’d head to the juniors department to look for a top. Jennifer Lopez also does a sexy line of tops for Kohl's. Better yet, I’d buy an Orlando Magic t-shirt for the game--they’re only about $30--and you'll be one of the fans. Wish I could join you so I could get a piece of that giant mouse at Disney Land! Have an awesome trip! --FF
