Help! I can't wear this blouse!
Question:
Help! I’m on my way to an imp. client meeting, & I just realized I can't wear this blouse! I have about half an hr to spare. What should I do?? –Frantic Friend
Answer:
Dear Frantic Friend,
If I were Super Kitty, I would fly to your location right now and bring you a new top!
Meanwhile, if you've ruled out all the creative options like turning your blouse back-to-front, I say use this event as an opportunity to buy something new! It’s a little like being on vacation and having to buy an umbrella.
Is there a store you’ve been wanting to check out somewhere between you and work? A dream come true would be there's something you've been wanting anyway and this gives you a reason to buy it.
Or is there a Target nearby? I really love this shirt below I found in a Target boys' department that looks much like a J. Crew chambray shirt but costs $12.99. The large and xtra large are as big as any women’s shirts, and I plan to wear it as a bottom or top layer or main event, possibly belted.
If it were me, I wouldn’t feel too bad about buying a shirt on impulse. Though the client might not notice whatever's wrong with your current shirt, you want to feel good about yourself. How much is that worth to you? Good luck!
