Suzie's lost ballerina dress and Tibetan bracelet
I have two sad tales of lost items. I left a vintage pink ballerina dress, the one my senior portrait was taken in, in a closet in a house where I thought my friends would live forever. But they moved, and the dress disappeared. I also had a Tibetan silver bracelet that I wore from 1991 to 2009. I was swimming in a local lake and when I surfaced the bracelet was gone. Both of those losses are 100% my fault, and I mourn them.

I feel particularly sorry about the loss of your bracelet since it surely held great meaning for you. It sounds like you never took it off for almost 20 years. I lost a bracelet I tried hard to take care of to someone's garbage disposal. It makes me sad thinking about it. Do you have a photo of yourself in the ballerina dress?
