Tartan returns!

Although the Countess of WEssex says that tartan never left, I think its popularity had waned.

But now it's back in crazy colors as well as traditional red. Please don't ask me the difference between tartan & plaid--seems a heated debate brews about this topic--I just think it's more crissy-crossy than plaid.

A little bit retro, very feminine: H&M lingerie

One could easily develop a burning obsession for H&M lingerie. One might wake in the night having dreamt of its nostalgic appeal.
Luckily, the bras are as well made as they are beautiful. They boast internal seaming and boning, removable pads, and
3-hook clasps on even some of the small sizes. The strapless bras have a rubbery strip along the inside edges to help them stay put.
Even more obsession-worthy, almost all the bras are $14.95--even the strapless ones! Many are sale priced at $7 (and they aren't even turquoise!).
H&M's ornate styles remind me of the fine Italian Intimissimi line, which I have loved to death.
H&M's lingerie recalls the glamour of the '40s while providing high-tech support.
