A week or so ago, I posted a gallery of animal-print pieces with some off-season buys. Now that fall lines have been released, the animals are out en masse. Here are a few favorites...

How long will you wait for something to go on sale before you buy it? I've been waiting for this skirt to go on sale for about a week now. I've been waiting for this dress to go on sale for about three months. I found it particularly rotten that VS lowered the price to near striking distance ($44.50) & then raised it again--for Valentine's Day? I've been following these Liberate Apparel Bow Trousers for a few months too. They were 50% off over the holidays, & maybe I should have bought them then, but they were still too expensive for me. Their purchase does go toward helping women in Haiti & the Dominican Republic learn a trade. I've been waiting for this dress to go down basically forever, but I don't think it's ever gonna happen. But I can hold out. Oh yeah. I usually wait until an item reaches about $30 or less. It's sort of the opposite of impulse buying, & later it allows you to justify your purchase by saying, "Oh, I've been wanting this ______ forever!" I actually wish we could follow individual items via Twitter instead of following companies. I do follow items already by bookmarking them or visiting them daily. I wave, salute, wish them well, hope no one else buys out my size, & say "see ya tomorrow." Anything you're following right now? These are just the types of dresses that keep me up at night. You don't need them, not one bit. They didn't all even get very good reviews. But they're $29 & under ("but it was 99 cents")! And they're cute! Do you buy things you don't need sometimes because they're an amazing deal? Who doesn't need basic black pants? For as long as I can remember, I've bought mine from Victoria's Secret. Today the Christie Fit is taking on the Kate Fit in a 3-round fight!
The CHAMPION: Kate Ooo, she looks mean. With her lower rise and straighter fit, Kate has won this fight. (Straighter-shaped gals seeking more curves might have favored Christie.) Girls, girls, girls--Kate, Christie, Lexie, Frankie, Sophie, Rosie--which one is your favorite Victoria's Secret fit? Do you like Ms. Mack's elegant style? Unpopular pieces get marked down faster. I'm hoping no one wants these items, so I might be able to get them at a price I can afford before winter! Which one do you not want the most? What are you eyeing that you hope no one else wants? You might like:
I love the look and feel of classic men's cotton pajamas. The real thing is less expensive than the women's version. Just size down.
If you're like me and have ever ordered anything from Victoria's Secret, you receive between one and ten catalogs from her a week. Is this persistance effective? Or does the frequency make the catalog seem commonplace? Sometimes I'm just amazed at the amount of merchandise she has, and I'm usually surprised by its good quality.
To reduce the number of catalogs and junk mail in general that you get, you can use the free service Catalog Choice: www.catalogchoice.org. Let's go dancing! "We've got our hot-pants on and up..." This week OMF has been featuring summer dresses that won't make you feel overdressed.
