Last Friday I went to one of those outlying malls that has hundreds of stores you may never have heard of--they carry everything from dresses for your quinceañera to bustiers and fishnet tights. Some of the stores I visited were FT Casuals, rue21, Style One, and DEB. My goal: to find a very inexpensive sheer crewneck top to wear under a crochet tank I have to wear for a night out with my BFF who'll be in town for the holidays!
Walking through these stores was a delight! Though I couldn't see myself wearing the velvet platform pumps nor ballroom gowns, I loved the bright colors and ornate details.
So did I find what I was looking for? YES! I strolled into Wet Seal, and Laura, the salesgirl, found one for me in an instant. Isn't it lovely? They had a buy-one/get-one half-off deal going, so I literally paid $4.25 for it! Right now, the store is offering buy-one/get-one 70% off!
Wet Seal is a hidden treasure. Sure, some of the stock feels too sexy or young for me, and I'm not crazy for cropped, but they also have dozens of crochet sweaters, cascading cardigans, basics, and jeggings in every color and rarely over $30. They also carry plus sizes.
