Sometimes we don't know exactly why we want something or who influenced us. But this time I do. I just loved Heather's outfit "Unintended Style" that she posted on her blog Pearls and Paws January 7. I'm often drawn to Heather's outfits for the office--always appropriate, elegant, and affordable.

Heather's post got me searching for a blue skirt for work. I found this one at Piperlime for $26.99. It doesn't have layers, but I love the color! It also comes in yellow, orange, and black, and there are blazers to match if you want a complete suit.
