The event was attended by Counsul-General of Japan Makoto Ito, and the exhibit was introduced by DAM Director Christoph Heinrich and the lovely and elegant Florence Müller, the Avenir Foundation Curator of Textile Art and DAM Curator of Fashion.
Shock Wave: Japanese Fashion Design, 1980s–90s opens September 11, 2016, at the Denver Art Museum, North Building - Level 6. Admission is included in general admission. More information & a terrific slideshow with footage from the fashion shows of the 1980s and 1980s here.
