She works as a consultant for Colorado Counts: Communities working to house Coloradans in need.
Colorado Counts registers the number of homeless in a region and finds housing for those most vulnerable. They recently secured homes for three people in Grand Junction, including one for Frank, a 70-year-old veteran who had been on the streets for more than 30 years!
And Katie works for Waste Management, Inc. (WM), which does so much more than just pick up your trash.
WM looks at realistic solutions to environmental sustainability and strives to educate the public to throw away less and recycle more! Katie serves as an Educational Coordinator; her favorite part of the job is giving kids tours of the landfill to learn about trash, recycling, and being environmental citizens.
Here on T-shirt Sunday Katie's wearing her "I'd trade my girlfriend for a Coke" tee. Too funny!
Thanks so much for the work you do for people and the environment, Katie! Let's all get out there and help you.
