Don't you love the old Superman movies with Christopher Reeve? Who can forget Planet Euston in Superman II ? Re-watching this old movie recently, I was struck by General Zod's girlfriend Ursa's outfit--even in 1980, split-sleeves were in style!
So here is Kryptonian supervillian Ursa followed by my kneel-before-Zod's-girlfriend's top, a recent purchase that's undergone a couple surgeries. It was actually a dress that I adapted into a top, & then I also added a tiny stitch to each sleeve, so they wouldn't hang open quite as much, which will allow me to wear it to work.
