Months of buying second hand & wearing my favorites instead of buying new things have all been shot down by the Zara sale. Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in. And here I am, 3 orders in so far, waiting eagerly for packages, returning items with abandon, sucked in in the worst way.
It doesn't help that Zara wittles down your willpower by putting various tops over the same bottoms until you're wondering why you don't own that skirt or those pants that go with everything. I know I've posted on this before, but it's a very effective marketing technique! Here's what I mean...

It's like during the photoshoot, someone said, "What should we pair this [t-shirt, top, sweater] with," & the guy yelled, "Just grab that shiny skirt!" over & over again. Or maybe it gives some continuity to the site to use recurring pieces--makes us feel better when we see something familiar as we roam through mountains of sale items.
Whatever it is, I feel like they're using some mastermind psychology on me, & it's working.
