Some shopping termsadjustment: request for reimbursement if the price of an item goes down, typically within two weeks of purchase arm party: multiple bracelets worn up one's arm buyer's remorse: regretting a purchase; especially prevalent after buying items listed as final sale (see below) comparison shopping: comparing the price on the same item at several stores fast fashion: sometimes cheap clothing sold at stores that frequently turn over their merchandise & styles fashion shower: song produced by H&M to promote Anna Dello Russo's H&M accessory collection: Anna Dello Russo fashion shower song lyrics fashion truck: traveling boutique  fashion truck final sale: avoid these sale items that you can never ever return ever ever ever flash sale: brief sale supposedly with deep discounts (the discounts are usually a myth) getting & spending: famous lines of poetry from William Wordsworth that capture the process of losing ourselves in the world of retail instead of spending time outdoors image consultant: a style specialist who helps people shape the impression they'd like to convey by helping them choose how to dress. Also sometimes called a personal shopper or personal stylist. Available as free service from some stores & from online stylists at sites like Stitch Fix which sends clients monthly packages of personalized outfits to purchase lay-away: a system that allows a customer to reserve an item & pay small amounts toward it until he or she has paid off the entire cost & can take the item home mall betty: a girl who shops a lot or hangs out at the mall mall blindness: when one mall begins to look just like the next; also, when the lighting in the mall starts to hurt one's eyes & gives one a headache mall food: mostly mediocre rich or bland food served in every mall mall rat: someone who hangs out too much at the mall instead of enjoying the out-of-doors mall walking: walking through the mall typically before the stores open just for exercise on the floor: the part of the store where clothes are displayed for customers to buy as compared to the back, the mysterious messy place where they've hidden the size you need pop-up store: fun, temporary (typically 2-3 days) shop set up, typically to display in person some goods from an online or out-of-state store retail therapy: the playful belief that buying something will help make someone feel better if he or she is depressed or needs a confidence boost rounder: a circular clothing rack, common in department stores, good for hiding under  rounder shoe spiral: an obsessive decline into searching for, shopping for, & returning shoes & boots. Term coined & first used by Monica Fuglei shopaholic: someone addicted to shopping (Confessions of: film from 2009) Shopgirl: film from 2005 starting Steve Martin, Clair Danes, & Jason Schwartzman shopper's hair: messy hair from trying on a lot of tops shopper's paradise: a store in Lakewood, NJ.
