Men felt they too should have a convenient way to hold their wallet, keys, and essentials without tweaking their backs from sitting unevenly for decades on an overstuffed wallet. Luckily messenger bags, laptop bags, backpacks, and fanny packs came along to relieve men of this discomfort. Still, men eye a woman's purse with envy.
I found this little bag in the men's department at H&M this past week. I wish I'd taken a photo of the manikin sporting several layers of denim and down along with the neat cross-body leather strap of this bag. Instead, I grabbed a bag and walked as nonchalantly as possible toward the checkout.
I felt obliged to offer the bag to my husband when I got home. He tried it on, but, alas, the strap is not long enough for his 6'2" frame. His friend from Costa Rica tried it on as well and said it was completely natural for men in Argentina to wear small bags like this one. I didn't offer him the bag, of course, because he might accept it!
I've transitioned all my essentials into the bag (I had to pare down a bit, which is hard) and am wearing the bag confidently though I'm keeping watch for covetous men.
