The right vest for spring

Vests & shells are springing up (sorry for the pun!) in stores to help us make the transition into mid-weight weather. 

I like the pullover sweater vests best: the tidy, semi-preppy style of a vest layered over a button-down shirt. Pair with skinny pants or a skirt to keep the look feminine.

I also love the pieced vest-look tops.

I wonder if we could steal our boyfriend/husbands' vests for this look?
