For many years we've not tucked anything in at all, let alone tucking in something as thick as a sweater.

But this winter we've seen many examples of sweaters--from heavy to light to t-necks--tucked in to skirts (in particular), pants, & shorts. The impression seems put together to me, & while a shirt tucked into pants can feel very masculine, the softer texture of a sweater conveys a more feminine look.
