What to hold on to

What's one item you know you'll keep forever?
I remember in high school how thrilled I was to find in the back of their closet my mom's and dad's old European ski sweaters.
I was also honored to wear my mom's silk-brocade coat over my dress as my husband and I departed from our wedding, the story of which was published in Elegant Bride magazine.
I have boys, so I'm not saving many clothes for them, but I wonder what I should save for myself?

You may not have daughters, but granddaughters are always a possibility! Plus, your boys will treasure things that remind them of you. Your wedding dress, that strand of pearls you wore on special occasions, etc. For yourself, save the items that hold special memories - your wedding dress, your mom's brocade coat, the most special baby blankets for each of your boys, and heirloom items that you received. Materials things come and go, but memories hold a value that no price tag can enumerate.

Josie, I am just seeing this and MY what a gorgeous wedding photo this is. So splendid, and of course, you probably know I am in love with the coat and also the fact that your mother wore it in her wedding. Just stunning. Thank you, again, for the T-shirt love. What a beautiful story and photos! It seems from the photo that you must have gotten married in the past couple of years because you haven't changed and the dress is timeless as well.
